How to make Paneer Tikka Masala at home?

Ingredients:

For the Paneer Tikka:

250 grams paneer, cut into cubes
1 bell pepper (capsicum), cut into cubes
1 onion, cut into cubes
1/2 cup yogurt
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder (or paprika)
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil


For the Gravy: Paneer Tikka Masala Recipe

2 tablespoons oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, pureed
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish


Instructions:

In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt to make a marinade.

Add the paneer cubes, bell pepper, and onion to the marinade. Gently toss to coat the paneer and vegetables evenly. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Thread the marinated paneer, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers. Place the skewers on a baking sheet and brush them with oil. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the paneer is golden and slightly charred around the edges. Alternatively, you can cook the paneer tikka on a grill or stovetop using a pan.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Add the tomato puree, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook the mixture for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil separates from the masala.

Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir well to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
